Luckily for us, when Rajendran drove us here, he parked the car right next to the community toilet (the gutter that runs the length of the market where all of the merchants do their “personal business”). Mmmm...the smell of human waste baking in the afternoon sun....

It was fabulous—tons of items that I didn't know the English names of, as well as many familiar ones.
